Customer Review: Excellent for the price!

I've had (and tossed) a couple of more expensive electric openers because they didn't function properly. This is the first can opener in awhile that I have owned that gets the job done the way it says it will.
I am not sure why others are having the issues they are having - my cans pop on with no effort, I don't have to jimmy them on there no matter what size - push the handle down, and it cuts the top off perfectly. I haven't experienced any torn labels, and the unit holds even the biggest, heaviest cans until I remove them.
I have not had one single lid fall into the can, which is a big plus for me!
I was also rather surprised at how quiet this unit is, compared to some of my previous can openers.
I chose the blue finish to match my kitchen, and while it is plastic, it matches my other appliances perfectly (especially my kitchen aid mixer!) and doesn't look cheap to me at all.
My favorite feature is the VERY easy to pop out assembly.
And while I didn't buy this for the bottle opener and knife sharpener (I would have bought this if it did not have those features) I have tried both and they work well. I probably won't use the knife sharpener much, just because I prefer to do it manually, but hey, it worked!
