I purchased this for my 80+ year old mother who lives alone for Christmas 2008. She loves traditional breakfast; eggs, toast, etc. Her old toaster bit-the-dust many years ago and she used her oven/broiler, many times burning the bread as she needs to sit while waiting (gets distracted then) In checking out toasters to get her, we came across this 3-in-1 item which had a positive rating. She has really liked this product and uses it several times a week. She can poach her egg or also scramble-ish when beating it up and has even added fine chop veggies to the mix. The toaster works well and does light to dark as expected. The meat cooking is limited I believe to meat that is already cooked and just needs heating; i.e. precooked sausage or bacon or ham/canadian bacon.
Mother liked hers so well, we purchased one for my 80+ mother-in-law for Christmas 2009. She JUST RETIRED so had not really used much in past year, but she now tells us she loves to be able to fix a hot breakfast at least once a week; she has thanked us over and over.
Product Note: The first one we received did not work properly - the toaster would not function. We called the 800 Cust.Svc for Westbend that was given in product manual. They apologized and sent out a replacement - Excellent response and spoke perfect English!
